I was diagnosed fatty liver grade 3 in ultrasound. No other abdominal pain or any complaints. S.g.p.t.� :- 74 s.g.o.t. :- 48 bilirubin :- normal proteins :- normal sugar :- normal I consulted� gastroenterologist�,he prescribed ursocol300 and evitol 400 then I consulted other gastroenterologist for self satisfaction, he prescribed obstela 5 mg and evion 400. Now I have doubt, which description I follow? Thanks in advance.

I suggest the following: 1. Fibroscan 2. Prothrombin time (inr) 3. What is your abdominal girth in cm? 4. Your bmi is 28.6 bring it to less than 23. Your ideal body weight should be between 54 to 67 kg. So, lose weight as around 2 kg in a month. To achieve this: daily walk, exercise or yoga, sugar free and fat free diet. Build these gradually. 5. Do you have diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol? 6. If taking alcohol, absolute no to alcohol. No nicotine. 6. Medicines for fatty liver: use only one a. Saroglitazar or b. Obeticholic acid or c. Less effective: vit e (evion) or pioglitazone or udca ursocol) so continue with obstela 5 mg only. But you need to consult your gastroenterologist.
